Visual Storytelling Workshop for Emerging Cinematographers
September 9 – December 16 | Tuesdays, 18:00–19:30 | In English
This 14-week workshop is for those with a background in photography and videography who want to grow into cinematography and documentary filmmaking. Together we’ll explore the craft of visual storytelling — from composition and lighting to intentional camera movement, framing, and editing — while developing your own short documentary film.
Topics include:
- Composition rules and ways to break them, color and tonal contrast, exposure
- Lens focal length, framing, and camera movement
- Lighting and Rembrandt technique
- Shooting interviews, b-rolls, and audio
- Editing, color grading, and sound design
- Pre-production, production, and post-production workflow
Instructor: Andrzej Asijuk, cinematographer and commercial director with 10+ years of experience, joined by guest contemporary artists.
